Try to include at least 3 of the 5 food groups in every meal. Eat in moderation, stopping when you feel 75-80% full as the body takes up to 15 minutes to realize that it is completely full. Try choosing foods in their natural state, rather than heavily processed foods. The 5 food groups include: Whole Grains, Fruits, Vegetables, Dairy and Protein. This will help to ensure that you are eating well-balanced meals and getting the most out of your meals!! |
